sweethearts

the next dance coming up is sweethearts. sweethearts is in feb (around valentines day-ish i suppose) and it's kinda a bit like homecoming (remember when i uploaded all the pictures of me in the purple dress? that was homecoming http://lougoesmn.blogspot.com/2010/10/homecoming.html ) but it's like girls ask boys...
so i decided to ask danny (boy in my science class, plays football, thanks to him i have a minnetonke football sweatshirt now =)). i wanted to make it kinda special (most people kinda make a deal out of it and don't like just ask), so i asked all my friends what to do, and they gave me all those advices.. like 50ballons, and posters in his yard and stuff like that.. so i was thinking about doing stuff like that until.. papa, my savior, my fathers christmas paket arrived =).. and in that paket was a 3D puzzle (i'm really bad at puzzles and those 3D things r really hard)
so it took me like and hour till all the 46 parts together looked like that:

and then i remembered how danny texted me from his cabin and told me how he liked worked on a puzzle.. so that meant he probably liked puzzles.. and as i didn't feel quite that comfy with making a big deal in his yard, i thought i could maybe write 'sweethearts?' on that heart and have him puzzle it together..
so i had this amazing idea and was really pumped.. and than the puzzle broke =O

so i had to puzzle it together all over again and then i just found a red marker, so i had to write sweethearts in red, what u couldn't really see :/ (so i decided to call hannah, and later on my way over to dannys (actually to homework together) i would stop by her house, get the marker and write sweethearts in black

then i realized i simply can't ask him without involving food somehow =) so i got the russian bread my friends had send my for my birthday and got all the letters for 'daniel' (the reason i wrote daniel and not danny is, that when we put up the ornaments of is christmas tree together, he showed me a pair of baby shoes with the names michael (his twin brother) and daniel on it.. and i asked him who daniel is.. and he was like: 'uhm.. me..?'.. was kinda embarrassing, but to me his name was danny,i never saw him as a daniel)



oh, yes, btw, i broke it again.. then i tried to puzzle it together again and as soon as it was done it slipped out of my hand and broke again.. so i broke it three times and puzzled it together 4 times (plus once with danny, five times)

and now i realized, that he needs something to choose.. like choose yes or no.. and i won't give him the food if he say no.. so i decided to make boxes, a yes and a no box.. and the yes box would have the food =)

now i had to puzzle the whole thing together again (remember how the first time took me like an hour? the last time was like 10 minutes)

so in the car i wrote 'sweethearts?' in black on it and then i went over to danny's and asked him to help me solve this really hard puzzle my dad send me ;)

and look at which box he opened and which one still is closed... =)

i forgot one super important update!! 24: learned how to curl my hair with the straightener =)

little update

24: christmas eve

culture differences: on christmas eve we had like lots of family over and they were all drunk

discovering new things: had skittles for the first time.. don't like the purple ones, but the yellow ones are YUM!! sooo good!!

embarrassing moments: i live in a house with a pool table for 4 1/2 months now and still can't play pool AT ALL.. it's really embarrassing

favorite part of the day: drunk jack junior: i'm thankful for lou... i don't care what you think and what you eat, i still love you

25: christmas

good news: i got way more presents than i expected =)

bad news: jack juniors flight to new york got cancelled, so he stays two days longer with us :/

dinner conversation: (jordan doesn't like westwood church too much)
cheryl: 'he gives service to 70,000 people!! and how many do you think came to faith in christ?'
jack: 'well, at least five. we don't want to be too opimistic'

pretty good news: jack junior decided to get a facebook

26: holiday

acculturation: i made my family drive me to church, even tho they didn't intend to go (jordan already went to bethlehem baptist, cheryl was sick and rest was lazy)

people: i met hannahs family on skype =)

food: i finally got to try the chocolate cake i made for hannah..soooo gooood!!

clothes: i bought my sweethearts dress and shoes =)
i was shooting for pink, found a black, white, red one, wasn't sure if i should take it, until i found incredibly hot red high heels that match the dress sooo good.. both 70% off, i spent $50 on dress and shoes.. and later i found out that red is dannys favorite color --> perfect deal =)

friends: i watched the cosby show with brendan, paget and nick, brendan and paget slept over

conservatives: i said 'oh my god' in jordans presence again.. shoot, that didn't happend to me for a long time

liberals: i didn't sleep a lot the last days, was super tired, went to bed at 12.30, fell pretty much right asleep, woke up at 1.00am because jack junior and friends over, playing music super loud and singing along (all drunk), i went up and told him to turn it down, he did but i'm pretty sure he turned it up again, i was laying in my bed with earpluggs and head under the blanket and couldn't sleep because it was soo loud, paget and brendan didn't even have a door between them and jack upstairs (they slept in the tv room).. arrrg, i was sooo mad!.. i mean I AM sooo mad!!

family: i had a super long conversations about family, god and childhoods with cheryl last night =)

guys, i just did something so unbelievably stupid that i can't even post it because my parents would kill me.
and i got so lucky that i can sit here now and post it... i'm really way too lucky..
but anyway, i definitly learned my lesson, i kinda rather learn my lesson out of things when i have to make it work out/ fix it myself instead of having parents yelling at me but fixing it for me..
anyway, i'm working on it, and i can hopefully fix it.. i got really lucky..
don't worry mama, papa, i'll tell you in 7 months when i'm back home, because than u won't be mad at me, but just laugh because it was really stupid...

i got 97.14% on the Beowulf essay!! ( the beowulf essay was kinda a big deal, out of 68/70 points =))
i got 18/20 on the form and 50/50 on the argumens =)
i think i would maybe even switch up in english, but we don't have a 11x class, so i would have to take english11AP and that's insane, because the kids a like older than me, native and nerds.. so i'll stay in g i suppose..

first quater grades

i totally forgot to tell u, the first quater is over and i got my grades...

CUSH: B+ 87.6 %
(ok, seriously, my history teacher hates me!! might be because she's first hour and i'm always late (thanks jordan!!).. my essay was an A!!! but she gave me like a B-!! that ruined my grade!!)

ChemistryX: B+ 89.1%
(because i messed all the multiple choice up in the beginnen, i didn't understand the vocab and stuff like that, so i got always Cs on the multiple choice and Ased the writing parts.. but now i got better and Ased my last multiple choice.. i got 89.1% and need 89.5% for an A =( next quater..)

Higher Algebra: A 95.7% 
(easiest A ever, i never study, never do my homework (so i have some failing grades when she graded the homework i didn't do haha) and i always do chem and cush homework in higher algebra, only thing i do for the class is taking the test.. so much fun!! haha)

French4: A 97.1%
(so easy, i wanna switch up! my counselor wanted to put me in french 2!! but i'll switch up second semester, either in french5AP or (if i don't wanna learn and wanna stay in one class with paget and madame orlawsky) french4IB.. but i'll switch up for sure!!)

Yoga: A 94%
(ok, seriously, that is the only class i'm studying for!! at the beginning i didn't study and had like a C!! we are taking so many test in yoga, it's everything except for an easy A.. but as the stuff is pretty intresting i study kinda enough, so i'm fine =) i always prepare my tests in higher algebra)

English11: A 92.6%
(english is also one of my harder classes (it's pretty much english, cush and yoga) and the class i get most homework in. i'm not sure if i can keep my A in that class tho... and my brother switched into my english level, if he doesn't get an A it's so embarrasing.. actually it's embarrasing for everybody in my class who doesn't have an A because i'm younger and it's not my native language)

so, that's pretty much the first quater.. goal for next quater:

CUSH: B+ (i'm fine with that actually, not even sure if i can keep that grade)
